Performance Drywall was proud to contribute to the major terminal expansion at Hilton Head Airport, an important infrastructure project designed to improve passenger flow, capacity, and the overall travel experience on Hilton Head Island. This ground-up addition required extensive coordination, precision framing, and specialty interior finishes to meet both architectural expectations and aviation standards.

Our team completed the full scope of exterior and interior metal stud framing, forming the structural backbone for the new terminal spaces. Once framed, the building was sealed using exterior gypsum sheathing, providing a durable and weather-resistant envelope capable of handling the island’s coastal climate.
Inside the terminal, Performance Drywall handled all wall insulation and drywall installation, ensuring both comfort and acoustical performance within the bustling concourse. The project also included detailed interior elements such as aluminum drywall reveals and dramatic GFRG (Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum) ceiling features, installed to create clean architectural lines and a modern, high-end atmosphere throughout the terminal.
In operational areas, FRP panels were installed to deliver long-lasting, easy-to-maintain surfaces ideal for high-traffic, high-durability airport environments.
